Data backup You can always go back
Daily business is practically always moving forward. But sometimes you have to go back – to an older version of your data. Whether a ransomware strikes, important data has been accidentally (or purposely?) deleted, faulty applications have caused data corruption, or failures result in data loss , usually the latest available data backup must be restored or at least accessed. There are a few things to consider to ensure that this works reliably.

In this area, we cooperate with various technology partners to compose the optimal solution for you. One part of this might be a data backup to our data center or to the public cloud.
In regard to the current threat situation, we always recommend an additional offline backup of your data, for example to tape. It is important that the hardware and software involved work seamlessly and that the right set of policies is implemented for your data backup logic. Regular – preferably automated – recovery tests complete this mission-critical process and let you sleep peacefully – because in case of an emergency, you can always go back.
In this context, you should also consider potential recovery times from data backups, for example for a complete recovery after a total system outage. For this purpose, it is very useful to define internal service level agreements in regard to the maximum duration of such a recovery. A solution concept should then always be based on these specifications.
